MEDIUM: Wall Hanging Sculpture & Clock
DESCRIPTION : Lizzy’s Tea Time is a wood framed wall hanging sculpture and clock. It is made up of repurposed parts from sewing machines, typewriters, clockworks, and other useful junk.
The ornamental crochet lace backing (hand made in the 1950s), combined with the numerous ornate decorations, gives off an Old English afternoon Tea vibe; plus Lizzie is just a nice British name. A discretely placed switch on the front of the piece illuminates the two vacuum tubes adjacent to the porcelain clock face.
