MEDIUM: Table-sized freestanding sculpture

DESCRIPTION: Locomotion is a steampunk-styled locomotive constructed from an early 1900’s cast iron ‘Protectograph’ check writing machine manufactured by Todd Company. The piece weighs 10 pounds and has a dimension of 20” L x 11” H  x 6” W. It incorporates repurposed parts from sewing machines, typewriters, clockworks, and other useful junk.

Three switches control the LED lights in various locations on the piece. It is powered by eight (8) AAA batteries.
